How to add a chat box or tag board on Friendster blog?

Now that you have a Friendster blog, you might wanna add some little chat box to have more conversation with your visitors right. Here's how to do that:

Note: Make sure that your browser allows pop-up windows, or else you will not be able to follow the instructions properly.

Requirement:

• A Friendster Blog
• A CBox account

Step 1: Creating your CBox account:

• Click here and follow it's Step 1.

Step 2: Creating a container (TypeList) for your Chat box:

• Log-In to your Friendster account.
• Go to My Tools, More and select Update Blog.

• Click TypeLists
  

• Select Link on (1) List type, put any list name you want on (2) List name, (e.g. Talk Here), then click (3) Create new list button.

• Click on Add this list to your blog(s) link.

• Select your blog (e.g. My Blog) where you wanna put the list you've just created, then click on Save Changes then Close Window button.

Step 3: Installing the Chat box code:

I assume you are still currently logged-in to your CBox account and in Quick Setup page.

• All you have to do is highlight the codes, right-click the mouse (pointing above the codes) and select copy.
• Go to TypeLists
• Under the TypeList you've just created (e.g. Talk Here), click on New Item.
  

• Paste your CBox code on Notes container, then click on Save Item button. Do not put anything on Link title and Link URL. Close the window.
  
  

• Now that you've successfully installed your Chat box code, check your blog to confirm that it is already on your blog by going to Blogs.
  

• Click the link (URL of your blog) to visit your blog.
  
  

Oops, where's the chat box?!

Relax, we'll make it appear. :)

Follow these steps:

Step 4. Final Touches:

• Click on Edit Configuration.

• Under Advanced Configuration, tick on As Text option, then click Save Changes button.

• Refresh your blog window. Voila, it worked! But we're not yet done right?

You'll probably see it placed at the bottom of your page and it's definitely not the good place for a chat box, so we will re-arrange it to it's proper place.

• Go to Blogs,

• Edit Design,
  

• Order.
  

• Drag and Drop (e.g. Talk Here) wherever you wanna put it, then click Save Changes button.

Done! Check your blog again and it should be on its proper place now.

How to create a Friendster Blog?

I assume you already has a Friendster account and not tried or attempted creating you blog from it so I can guarrantee what I see on my window is the same as yours on these instructions.

Requirement:

• A Friendster account (click here to create a Friendster account)

Step 1. Log-In to your Friendster account: http://www.friendster.com/.
Step 2. Creating your Blog:

• Point the mouse-pointer on My Profile, then select Blogs.

• Press Create Blog button.

• (1) Choose Friendster Blogs Free (Ad-Supported).
• (2) Select any "available" domain you want (e.g. jonathanblog1).
• (3) Agree to the terms of service.
• (4) Click Continue button.

• Put the Blog Name you want, select a Layout Structure, choose a Design Style.
• Finally, press Continue button at the bottom of the page.

*** Congratulations, you've just created you own Blog! ***

• Press Get Started button.

Step 3. Creating you first post:

• Click on POST.

• (1) Put a Title for your post.
• (2) Select a Category for your post.
• (3) Put here your message, whatever it is.
• (4) Click Save button to publish it to the web for the world to see it.
  

Step 4. Viewing you blog on the net:

• Just on the same window where you created your first post, click view blog (upper-right corner)

Here's how your new blog would look like:

http://jonathanblog1.blogs.friendster.com/my_blog/

You can visit your own blog by typing the URL on the Address bar of browser (i.e. Internet Explorer, Firefox, Opera, etc.) just like visiting any web site.

How to add chat box to blogger?

Requirement:

• A blogger blog (click here to create a blog)
  

Step 1. Creating cbox account:

• Register to http://www.cbox.ws/getone.php.
• Click Sign Up:
• Complete the information then click Create my Cbox button:

• After registration, log-in to your cbox account then go to Quick Setup.

Step 2. Installing the code:

• Highlight the codes, right-click the mouse (pointing above the codes) and select copy.
  



• Log-in to your blogger account, then goto Layout.
  

• Click Add Page Element on the right side of the screen.

• Select HTML/Java Script by clicking Add To Blog button below it.



• Put any meaningful title and paste (right-click, paste or click, CTRL+V) your code on the content entry.


• Click Save Changes.

Step 3. Rearranging the elements:

• Click (e.g. About Me) on specific element you wanna rearrange and drag & drop it to your desired location.

• Don't forget to click save (orange button) on the upper part of the web page.
