Follow This Step: 2008.06

Now that you have a Friendster blog, you might wanna add some little chat box to have more conversation with your visitors right. Here's how to do that:

Note: Make sure that your browser allows pop-up windows, or else you will not be able to follow the instructions properly.

Requirement:

A Friendster Blog
A CBox account

Step 1: Creating your CBox account:

Click here and follow it's Step 1.

Step 2: Creating a container (TypeList) for your Chat box:

Log-In to your Friendster account.
Go to My Tools, More and select Update Blog.

Click TypeLists

Select Link on (1) List type, put any list name you want on (2) List name, (e.g. Talk Here), then click (3) Create new list button.

Click on Add this list to your blog(s) link.

Select your blog (e.g. My Blog) where you wanna put the list you've just created, then click on Save Changes then Close Window button.

Step 3: Installing the Chat box code:

I assume you are still currently logged-in to your CBox account and in Quick Setup page.

All you have to do is highlight the codes, right-click the mouse (pointing above the codes) and select copy.
Go to TypeLists
Under the TypeList you've just created (e.g. Talk Here), click on New Item.

Paste your CBox code on Notes container, then click on Save Item button. Do not put anything on Link title and Link URL. Close the window.

Now that you've successfully installed your Chat box code, check your blog to confirm that it is already on your blog by going to Blogs.

Click the link (URL of your blog) to visit your blog.

Oops, where's the chat box?!

Relax, we'll make it appear. :)

Follow these steps:

Step 4. Final Touches:

Click on Edit Configuration.

Under Advanced Configuration, tick on As Text option, then click Save Changes button.

Refresh your blog window. Voila, it worked! But we're not yet done right?

You'll probably see it placed at the bottom of your page and it's definitely not the good place for a chat box, so we will re-arrange it to it's proper place.
